Our Process  

Onsite Consultation. 

Schedule a stress free onsite consultation with one of our sales members. Here we will evaluate the lay of your land, check utility locations, look for set backs and boundaries, and decide the best location on your property for your new ADU structure. We will go over the path to get to the desired location and how your land will be temporarily disturbed. We will discuss size of desired ADU, ideas of what you're looking for, and its intended purpose. From here, we will start the design process.


Design

At Casita, we have many prefered plans to choose from or you can design something 100% custom to fit your exact needs. Our plans range from 200 sqft- 1,000 sqft. Our design staff will go over what your looking for in an ADU, which plan will fit your exact needs and how to customize them if needed. From here you will pick out exterior colors and finishes, interior paint colors, flooring, fixtures, and landscape. Once everything is selected, we will showcase it in our 3D modeling software for you to visualize and tweak any details if needed. From here you will sign off on the design, pay a 25% deposit, and rest with ease while we handle the rest from here.


Permits  

From here, we get all architecture plans, surveys, and engineer documents in order to submit our permit application to the local municipality. This process can take 2-6 weeks in some cases. Once permits are issued, let the build process begin.


Lets Build

We will start the build process with accessing the best point of entry from the road. We ensure we will protect your lawn as best as possible, however we will go over our "end of construction" process to make sure your yard is better than before we started. Your build starts as followed...

week 1-2. Land clearing/ grading

Week 3. Foundation

Week 4. Framing

Week 5 Roofing

Week 6-7. Windows, doors, and siding

Week 8-10 Electrical, plumbing, hvac 

Week 11. Insulation

Week 12. Drywall

Week 13-14. Cabinets, countertops, trim, interior doors

Week 15. Paint

Week 16. Flooring

Week. 17 Fixtures, hardware, appliances

Week 18. Punch out & final clean

Week 19-20. Landscape

Average Build time is approximately 16-20 weeks. Weather, material shortages and  other factors can effect this. We strive to have your new ADU completed in a timely manner with the highest quaility possible. 

Add ons

An add on extra feature can be a great way to give your new Casita that something special that really sets it apart. You can choose from one of the following.

Patio- We can either extend youre existing patio to give you more space or build a new one if your existing plan doesnt not come with one. This will give you that extra place to stretch your legs and sip that coffee. 

Pergola- want some extra shade? install a new custom pergola to transform your new space into a great hang out area.

Fire pit- Install a new wood burning or proapne fire pit to help stay warm and gather around the fire. 

Outdoor lighting- Make your Casita yard really pop with some LED outdoor landscpae lighting to brighten up the space
